Sausage Jambalaya

Ingredients:

1 pound of Helmbold's Hickory Smoked Kielbasa Links
1 pound of Helmbold's Hot or Sweet Italian Sausage Links
1/2 tbspn of Cooking Oil
1 Onion, chopped
1 Rib Celery, chopped
1 Green Bell Pepper, Chopped
3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
1-3/4 Cups of Crushed Tomatoes
2 Cups Chicken Broth
3/4 tspn of Each of: Oregano and Thyme
1 tspn of Salt
1/4 tspn of Cayenne
1-1/4 Cups of Rice

Instructions:

In large sauce pan: Heat the oil and add the onion, celery, bell pepper, garlic and Italian sausage: cover and cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes.

Add the Kielbasa and cook for five minutes. Add tomatoes, broth, oregano, thyme, salt and cayenne. Bring to a boil then add the rice. Reduce the heat and simmer. Cover for 25 to 30 minutes.

Serves: 4
